Iran Reports Attack on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, As Part of Widespread Retaliatory Strikes.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a large-scale and continuing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an zone close to the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The extent of any destruction is uncertain and the US has remained silent.
Regional Interceptions
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - said they have shot down missiles in their airspace.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had successfully engaged a number of projectiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the offensive on the Islamic Republic carried out by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on areas associated with the Iranian leadership, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses engaged the missiles with notable success and shot down a several projectiles," the statement continued.
It said debris landed in a populated district in the capital, resulting in some structural damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
