Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are urging that a person who breached a barricade and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the individual from Australia pushing past photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a promenade flanked by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being detained", though court documents indicated that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a performance. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Well-being

Many followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a terrorist explosion at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further message on Instagram.

Several fans also questioned security officers at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande appeared startled when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.

Many of fans had congregated in a sea of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be premiered on November 21, is the follow-up of a two-part version of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising friendship between two contrasting characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Academy Award nods, earning two for excellent wardrobe and production design.
